Retired and living in South Jersey.

Basically, I'm a "meat and potatoes" guy and don't experiment in foreign foods. Are "French Fries" a foreign food? Going to New Orleans in May for my ship's reunion. I've been to Ireland a couple of times and am hoping to go back - still looking for my roots. Having been a history major, I enjoy short trips in the New Jersey area to historical locations and others sites of interest.

I don't do "long walks on the beach or boardwalk" but love to just sit and watch the ocean. Only do
slow-dancing. At 80 I'm no track star but I do OK. Politically, I lean right. I'm not a gambler or a sports nut but, being from North Jersey, I root for the Giants and the Yankees. I'm a news junky and enjoy the music of the forties and fifties as well as classical and good jazz.

I'm an easy-going optimist and would enjoy meeting someone with a similar disposition. Looking for a close friend to share adventures and travel.

I broke my foot last year and use a cane.
